Project: 2.15 kWp Q-Cells PV System
Client: J. Mercer
Location: Inis Boffin, Co. Galway
Description: Tenesol 2.15 kWp Polycrystalline PV Installation
This installation is on an unusual house on the island of Inis Boffin, off Co. Galway.
This project consists of the installation of 10 No. Tenesol ‘PQ200 Series' polycrystalline solar PV Modules with a Mastervolt XS2000 inverter. The installation is grid connected.
The pv modules are located on a steep roof / facade on the south side of the house. The steep slope of the panels will result in slightly lower than average performnce in summer but higher than average performance in winter.
The inverter equipment is located in the converter garage and wired to the sub-distribution board there. It is estimated that the system will produce approximately 1700 kWh/year, representing approximately 50% of the estimated annual electricity usage for the house. The owner of this system will also be able to sell excess electricity generated. See details on our Grants & Incentives page.
Notes:
These Tenesol PV modules are manufactured with high quality QCells solar cells in Germany. This was the first grid connected Solar PV system to be installed on the Island.
