Project: 10m2 On-Roof Flat Plate
Solar Thermal System
Client: Gleeson’s Townhouse, Restaurant, Artisan Food & Wine Shop
Location: Roscommon
Description: 10m2 On-roof Flat Plate Solar Thermal System
This installation is on a refurbished 100 year old building at a Gleeson’s Townhouse Hotel in Roscommon Town.
The project consists of the installation of a 10m2 On-roof Flat Plate Solar Thermal System with a 500 litre stainless steel pressurised cylinder providing hot water to four hotel rooms and the ground floor Deli. According to the proprietor, Eamonn Gleeson, “The solar panels have, even during the winter, raised the temperature of the water so that it took very little to bring it up to 60º Celsius.”
