This system installed in 2011 is on a existing home located in Co. Galway.

This project consists of the installation of 20 No. Q-Cells ‘QSmart 95w’ Framed CIGS Thin film solar Modules (1.9kWp total) with Mastervolt XS2000 inverter. The installation is grid connected.

The pv modules are located on the south west facing garage roof space. The roof has a 40 deg. pitch and is un-shaded.

The inverter equipment is located in the garage and wired to the sub-distribution board in the garage. It is estimated that the system will produce approximately 1700 kWh/year, representing approximately 40% to 60% of the estimated annual electricity usage for the house.  See details on our Grants & Incentives page.

Notes:
The owner of this home has also installed a Solar Hot Water system.
