Description:    REC 1.5kWp Polycrystalline PV Installation

This installation is on an old cottage near Ougterard Co. Galway.

This project consists of the installation of 7 No. REC ‘AE Series'  polycrystalline solar PV Modules with a Mastervolt XS2000 inverter. The installation is grid connected.

The pv modules are located on the south facing roof space.

The inverter equipment is located in the study and wired to the sub-distribution board in the kitchen. It is estimated that the system will produce approximately 1400 kWh/year, representing approximately 40% to 50% of the estimated annual electricity usage for the house. The owner of this system will also be able to sell excess electricity generated. See details on our Grants & Incentives page.

Notes:

The REC modules are optimised  for cloudy weather making them ideal for use in Ireland. Even in the early half of March, Rev. Previte noted that the system was regularly operating at 95% of its maximum output. This level of performance will become more regular and for longer periods of time during the brighter longer days of summer.
